My favourite photoThis is my favourite photo because its strange it looks like its to be a serious photo because of how her face looks so stern but theres just eggs on her which make s you want to look at it but it also makes you slightly uncomfortable because its like she is looking straight in to your eyes. I also like this photos because in the description of this photo it says she wants to push and question traditional women cliques and so it say she sat in a 'macho' pose and dressed in a stereotypical male clothing to make an image of defiant femininity. This is my favourite photo which is by Sarah Carpenter I like it because it catches your eye because its very bright and soft but quite striking as well. She says this photo represents the mental and eating disorders she has experienced.
"It is my first self-portrait series and is special to me as it has allowed me to see my own body objectively and in a more self-compassionate light, something that has become increasingly difficult for women living in the mass media culture of today’s society." |
This is my favourite photo because it is distorted and reminds me of a room at a carnival with the distortion mirrors. I also like it because it make it look as if it's not me it looks filtered which is really cool. The photo also reminds me of water when you look into it and it ripples. I just really like the photo because its fun.

This project on Vivian Maier was interesting because we had not a lot to go off, although we watched a documentary on her she was a secretive person making it difficult to do something on someone whois one no longer alive and also someone who wouldn't tell anyone anything about her. All we have on her are her photos which is really unique. Her photos show her life her everyday interactions with strangers normally on the street and you get to see how she interpreted the world through her photos.
